Weekly Wellness Activities

MVC's Wellness Center hosts weekly events and activities designed to help you grow as a person, make lifestyle changes, develop new skills, and meet friends. These activities are free, hosted in Coudures Plaza or over Zoom, and registration is required. Click on the title to register or view the event calendar to learn more.

Attend any wellness group receive a $5 Wellness deposit.

Mondays at 11 am

Join Student Health and Psychological Services for Art it Out Mondays! Each week on Monday, a mental health therapist will lead weekly art exercises to help ease depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, and other life challenges. Art supplies will be provided.

Tuesdays at 11 am

Tranquility Tuesday reinforces skills needed to manage feeling stress, anxiety and anger. Each week learn a wellness activity to help with rest and relaxation, learning ways to stay focused on your academics.

Each Wednesday, engage in weekly self-care activities to improve overall wellbeing and decrease stress so you can be a more effective student.

Thursdays at 11 am

Each Thursday, Health Services leads participants in a discussion and reflection on Brene Brown's The Gifts of Imperfection. You'll discuss ways to increase empathy, self-compassion, and empowerment.

Students are not required to read prior to the meeting. All participants will receive the book after attending 2 sessions.

Fridays at 11 am

Wellness Friday focuses on ways to enhance physical and mental health as a means to be a successful college student. Each week, a different topic is covered to ensure you have practical skills. Prior topics have included managing holiday stressors, developing test-taking skills, managing interview anxiety and more.
