- Community and Collaboration Support Annual Halloween Costume GiveawayOctober 30, 2025- The Halloween Costume Giveaway, in a collaboration between CalWORKs and Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS), supported student parents and their families with more than 150 donated costumes distributed to 85 children. - Nader Gabriel Recognized for Completion of Statewide Leadership ProgramOctober 24, 2025- Nader Gabriel, Director of College Business Services at Moreno Valley College, was recognized at the Association of Chief Business Officials (ACBO) Conference for completing the ACBO Institute II program. - Marie Thermidor Honored as JPMorgan Chase Community ICONOctober 22, 2025- Riverside Community College District Foundation Development Officer Marie Thermidor has been recognized as the Philanthropic Leadership Honoree at the 2025 JPMorgan Chase Community ICONs awards, held Oct. 2 at the March Field Air Museum in Riverside. - Student Leader Earns GIA Scholarship for Service and Academic ExcellenceOctober 16, 2025- Aliyah Nataly Alatorre, a student aide at Moreno Valley College, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Growing Inland Achievement (GIA) in partnership with the Mexican Consulate and IME Becas. - President Besikof Joins Statewide Financial Aid Initiative LaunchOctober 13, 2025- On Oct. 8, regional education leaders convened at KVCR Public Media in San Bernardino for the Inland Empire’s inaugural Cash for College launch, with Moreno Valley College President Rudy Besikof joining Riverside Community College District (RCCD) Chancellor Wolde-Ab Isaac. - MVC Serves as Launch Site for Noncredit Leadership Program with 100 Black Men of the Inland EmpireOctober 9, 2025- Moreno Valley College served as the launch site for a pilot series of free noncredit courses in leadership, customer service, and conflict resolution. The online courses provided flexible opportunities for professional and personal development.
