All You Need to Know
By completing this application, you are establishing Moreno Valley College as your designated "home college." Moreno Valley College is one of three colleges in the Riverside Community College District, which also includes Riverside City College and Norco College. Your home college location is where you will receive most services. You may only submit one application for any college in the district, per term, by the application deadline.
Students may enroll in classes at any of the three colleges in the Riverside Community College District, regardless of home college location.
Your program of study determines which academic school you receive support from. Each school has a dedicated engagement center with a success team consisting of counselors, faculty and educational advisors, and more — all designed to keep you on track. While Admissions & Aid serves all MVC students, tailored support services and advising comes from your school's engagement center.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) entitles students to apply for federal programs. Apply online at fafsa.ed.gov. Students should also apply for a CalGrant. Please use the correct college code when applying: 041735.

Assessment tests are tools to measure a student's understanding of a given subject. In most cases, students are placed in English/Reading and math courses based on their high school performance, which you report during the application process. Assessment testing is also available to students looking to skip lower division requirements in biology and Spanish.
A college orientation assists new students with finding their bearings at MVC, and goes over resources, requirements of being a student, your responsibilities, as well as where to go for help. All new students are required to take the orientation.
Plan out the classes you need prior to your registration date. Helpful tools include the Class Finder, Class Schedule, or meeting with a counselor to update your educational plan. Then, on your registration date and time, register and enroll as quickly as possible to ensure you get the classes you want and need. If a class is full, you may add yourself to the waitlist.
Students must get the instructor's permission to register after the class has begun. Adding a class requires an instructor's authorization code. With an authorization code, students can then add classes through EduNav (launch EduNav through MyPortal) on the first day of class within the add deadline. It is the student's responsibility to add classes during the specified add deadline. Payments are due at the time of registration.
Parking permits must be ordered through WebAdvisor once you have officially enrolled in classes. Parking permits are virtual, so all you need to do is register up to two vehicle license plates. There's no need to print anything out - just register and pay. Purchasing a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space.
At the start of each term (except winter, as there is no permit fee for winter session), there is a grace period for students. Students may park in white student spaces only without a parking permit during the first two weeks of the fall and spring terms, and first week during the summer.
Being enrolled at MVC and having a College Card/Photo ID entitles you to some of the following:
- Free transportation on RTA buses
- Club/organization and student government membership (with application)
- Student scholarships funded by ASRCCD
- Bookstore discounts on supplies
- Discounts at local merchants
- Free barbecues and food giveaways at MVC
- Free admission to athletic events
- Discounts to local California attractions such as museums and theme parks
