What is Puente?

The Puente Program is open to all students, and is an academic and community leadership program designed to help students transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The program meets this goal through a one-year series of career and life guidance courses, English classes, and mentoring from community professionals. Students have a chance to build lasting relationships as they remain with the same instructor, academic counselor, and mentor throughout the program. Students also receive ongoing support from Puente's coordinators.
