Moreno Valley College’s 8th Annual Veterans Scholarship Ceremony gathered students, employees, and community members to celebrate the service and sacrifices of veterans. Four stand-out students received scholarship awards.

MVC students embraced civic engagement for the 2024 election season, leading voter education efforts on local ballot measures like Measure CC by going door-to-door across Moreno Valley and hosting on-campus events to spread the word about voting to peers and community members alike.

On October 19, the 100 Black Men of the Inland Empire hosted their 8th Annual Gala at the Riverside Convention Center. As proud gala sponsors, the Riverside Community College District and its colleges were honored to continue their partnership with 100 BMIE.

MyPortal enhancements launch in October. Students will have access to the new version of MyPortal, which offers improved cybersecurity features, easier navigation, and seamless access to essential services such as Student Profile, Class Schedule, Financial Aid, Registration, and more.

Moreno Valley College’s Laurel Harned, a second-year virtuoso guitarist, won first prize at the Los Angeles American String Teachers Association competition in April. Moreno Valley College had two Applied Digital Media students place in the 2024 American Advertising student competition, which is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition with more than 40,000 entries every year in local ad club competitions.
