Moreno Valley College (and all RCCD Colleges) requires that all faculty teaching online complete an online certification pathway.
- RCCD Online Teaching Certification and Resources
- Title 5 Section 55208(b)
- AP 2105 Distance Education
- Complete RCCD’s Course Design camp, a Canvas course for faculty.
- Complete MVC’s Local Peer Online Course Review Process.
If you believe you have met certification requirements through other means, submit your completion evidence to the RCCD Certification Equivalency Request form.
Faculty who need to know their status can request their Online Teaching Certification Status by completing the linked form.
Current faculty, previously certified through the RCCD Online Canvas Academy, wishing to teach online at any of the colleges in the District need to complete one of the two approved Online Teaching Certification options.
Faculty need to complete six (6) hours of training focused on distance education every three (3) academic years.
Upon completion of recertification requirements, evidence will be uploaded by the faculty member to an online form.
