About
Dr. Noemi Hernandez Alexander has dedicated the last 20 years of her life to education, creating opportunities for students across K-12, community college, and university. A scholar-practitioner and seasoned administrator, she has served as Interim Dean of Student Services at Riverside City College and professor of Political Science and Public Administration at California Baptist University, where she also led as Department Chair and Director of Online Education, empowering a team of faculty to provide high-quality, accessible education through online Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs.
She serves our community as an elected Trustee on the Riverside Unified School Board, where she collaborates with the governing board, district leadership, and community stakeholders to strengthen teaching and learning, expand pathways to college and career, and ensure an engaging and innovative learning experience for all students. Her work as a trustee reflects a deep belief in partnerships between community, industry, and educational partners.
Dr. Hernandez Alexander was raised in Riverside County, attended public schools, and is a first-generation college graduate. She is grateful for the opportunity to have attended CSU Long Beach, where she earned a B.A. in Social Work and a Master's in Public Administration. She attained a Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University.
She is honored to serve Moreno Valley College and shares the college’s student-centered mission of empowerment, equity, and service. She has a steadfast commitment to ensuring that every student has what they need to succeed.
