About

My name is Leslie Alarcon and I am MVC’s Veterans Counselor. I provide academic and career counseling services to active duty service-members, veterans, spouses and their dependents.

Since I separated from the US Navy after 10 years of active-duty service, it has been my objective to facilitate and reduce the struggles of my fellow veterans as they transition back into the civilian sector. Twenty years of experience working with this population have provided me with a unique awareness of the challenges this population faces.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical and Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology-Law and Society from University of California, San Diego. I am also a proud California Community College transfer student.

I hope I can be of help during these changing times and look forward to supporting you in the achievement of your educational and career goals.
