About

Dr. Abiodun Osanyinpeju (or Dr. Peju) oversees the STEM programs at MVC. Osanyinpeju has over 20 years of higher education experience. He recently served as the dean of student learning at Compton College, where he was responsible for the health and public services and STEM divisions.

Prior to serving as dean, he taught in the life sciences area for 12 years; the last two of which he was the division chair, health and natural sciences. He also has extensive shared governance and committee leadership experience. He focuses on improving student success to reduce equity gaps.

Osanyinpeju holds a doctor of philosophy degree in Genetics from the University of Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria, as well as a master's and bachelor's in the sciences. He has participated in various leadership programs like Admin 101 and 201, Great Deans, and in 2023, he participated in the CCC Chancellor’s Office Deans Academy.

Osanyinpeju is a Southern California local. He attends Crossroads Christian Church in Corona and enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, traveling, and playing soccer.
