About

Kevin Stewart is Moreno Valley College's Dean of Instruction for STEM and Career & Technical Education programs.

Stewart came to Moreno Valley College after a stint as dean of Business, Workforce and Continuing Education at Edmonds College in Lynnwood, WA.

Prior to Edmonds College, Stewart served as associate dean of instruction for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and as an adjunct instructor for Business and Marketing at El Centro College in Dallas, TX. His academic career began at El Centro College as a physics laboratory assistant, outreach and recruitment coordinator, and program manager. Leading him to focus on innovation, academic partnership facilitation, and novel program development to increase student access and economic mobility.

Stewart has been recognized for his work as an educator, but he says his most rewarding experiences as an educator have been building connections, facilitating student success, and supporting student achievement toward various academic and professional goals.

"I look forward to ensuring we continue this momentum and make an even greater impact within the Inland Empire; whereas, Moreno Valley College is uniquely positioned to become an even brighter beacon for workforce engagement, academic partnerships, and economic mobility," he said. "In addition to serving both faculty and students, I look forward to connecting with local industry and community leaders. I’m in the barrier busting business – increasing student access and economic mobility for all Inland Empire stakeholders."

Stewart holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Southwest Baptist University. He is on track to earn his Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California.
