About

Amy Balent is a Cubist/Abstract Expressionist painter specializing in oil and watercolor painting. She studied studio art, painting, printmaking, and watercolor in Washington, D.C., earning a BFA in Studio Art at Georgetown University and an MFA in Painting at George Washington University. Her work has been commissioned, collected, and exhibited widely. Balent has been teaching classes in a variety of media at MVC since 2001.

Balent was awarded the rank of Professor in 2019.
