Mission

The mission of Public Safety Education and Training (PSET) is to provide an educational pathway for sworn and correctional officers, and fire personnel, as well as students interested in pursuing careers in law, fire, homeland security and emergency medical services to complete an educational program, certificate, or associate's degree for career advancement in public safety education. PSET also serves a corollary role to provide supportive leadership in student services.

Responsive to the educational needs of its region, the Public Safety Education and Training program seeks to meet the workforce needs of public safety personnel in the Inland Empire region. The program offers academic programs and support services for students which include certificate, associate degree, and baccalaureate transfer programs for all who can benefit from them. Advanced officer and continuing education courses in law, fire, and homeland security provide learning opportunities and advancement for individuals working in the public safety field.
