MVC's Registered Dental Assisting Program Earns
Full RDA Status from Dental Board of California
Moreno Valley College's Registered Dental Assisting (RDA) Program underwent a review from the Dental Board of California, a state licensing organization, and has received the board's full RDA status. The program, which began in the fall of 2006 will be graduating its eighth class this spring and was commended on its "high quality of education."
"The visiting team really liked the facility," said Sandra Mayo, president of Moreno Valley College. "The four-member site evaluation team enjoyed their conversations with our students and the team leader indicated that this was the 'best site visit' she had ever seen. The team also commended Dr. (Lidia) Hulshof on her exceptional organization and administration of the RDA program at Moreno Valley College and her attention to record keeping and the progression of improvements over the years."
The program, which is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association since 2008 accepts 24 students a year for its RDA program.
"Needless to say, I'm proud of our program, the students and appreciate the support of the faculty and staff at Moreno Valley College," Hulshof said. "I am also very grateful for the support of the dental community. We've been able to develop a first-class RDA program for the community and having the stamp of approval from the Dental Board of California only ensures that our program will continue to grow and turn out top RDA professionals."
